The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) officials have said that Pakistan is likely to host the series of two friendly matches against Afghanistan in the next month. one matches will be played in Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan and the other match will be played in Lahore city.

The Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) has not commented regarding the series so far. In the meantime, PFF officials are saying that Afghanistan is interested in playing a lone friendly match in Islamabad. PFF trying to hold finalise the series and the dates will be confirmed later.

Pakistan is hosting the series in a bid to give the side further international exposure. PFF want to bring the international sport to the country and provide opportunities for our players to improve, something we can’t achieve without playing with better teams.

Faisalabad (Breaking News / news Update / Thursday, December 11, 2014) – Today an election tribunal in Faisalabad ordered recounting of votes in the Punjab Assembly constituency PP-81 Jhang cum Chiniot District.

This was won by Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Muhammad Khan Baloch. Application was moved by runner up candidate of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Mr. Rai Muhammad Taimoor Khan Bhatti. This election was held march 3rd, 2014 (Monday) in current year.

Waqar said we are all excited about the mega event as it is the cricket world’s top event and everyone has their eyes on the trophy so why not us? “We are trying to take this belief in the dressing room. We have the potential, we have the talent and the skills. It’s just about putting it all together and coping with the pressure,” he said in an interview.

Waqar said we were very lucky in the 1990s when we had Shoaib Akhtar bowling and later on, also to some extent Umar Gul who was also bowling fast. In recent times, we have Wahab Riaz who bowls briskly but as I said, you have to be disciplined. You cannot go out there and try and bowl 150kph and go all over the place as control is crucial.

Speaking about Muhammad Irfan, Waqar said with his 7’1″ height, he has the ability to deliver some unplayable deliveries and the prospect of this bowler helping Pakistan to glory in the upcoming 2015 World Cup has not escaped the attention of the Pakistan team management. Irfan is 7′ 1″ and it is very easy to breakdown when you are that tall and with his structure, he said adding the WC is around the corner and Irfan has the X factor that we need in him.

Waqar said the guys who played cricket in the 90s should come forward and help Pakistan cricket come up and improve its standing. “It is great that Moin Khan is around with Mushtaq Ahmed, Ijaz Ahmed and Mohammad Akram as well. They understand the demands of the modern game and can help the Pakistan team reach its full potential,” he said.

Lahore (Friday, December 12, 2014) – Returning Officer of Punjab bar Council election, Advocate general Punjab Mr. Ch. hanif Khatana has issued notification regarding result 2014.

According to notification Rao Rehman ullah Khan of Pakpattan received maximum votes of 4116, While Muhammad Arif Khan Gurmani of Dera Ghazi Khan (DGK) obtained least votes of 711.

In Lahore seat election between Mian Muhammad Rasheed and Naveed ul Hassan become tie after equal votes of 2816 for both candidates.

Punjab Bar Council Election Official Result Notification 2014

Coach Waqar Younis on Saturday admitted skipper Misbahul Haq remains doubtful for the third one-day international against New Zealand after he hurt his hamstring. Misbah fell awkwardly while chasing a shot in the third over of New Zealand’s innings during the second day-night international in Sharjah. New Zealand won the match by four wickets to level the five-match series at 1-1. Pakistan won the first match by three wickets in Dubai on Monday.

All-rounder Shahid Afridi is one likely choice to lead the team in next match. Fast bowler Bilawal Bhatti was also ruled out of the third one-day after he injured his right hand during practice and needed stitches. Another fast bowler, Umar Gul, is also on the injury list after missing the second game due to a sore ankle. Junaid injured his knee during the one-day series against Australia in October and is still recovering.

Pakistan has been in United Arab Emirates since October. They played a Twenty20, three one-day internationals and two Tests against Australia before their two Tests, two Twenty20 and five one-day series against New Zealand. It’s a long tour and there are bound to be injuries, we need to solve these injury issues before the World Cup next year.

Waqar said he was still searching for a right bowling combination, badly affected by the suspension of ace spinner Saeed Ajmal and all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez due to illegal bowling action. “We are trying to build the right combination for the World Cup and these issues have not allowed us to do so,” said Waqar, who blamed a below par total for the defeat on Friday.

ICC Cricket World Cup Tournament 2015 will begin in February 2015 in Australia and New Zealand. This World Cup is said to be of great significance for the Pakistani cricket team as it will be played on the same ground where under the captaincy of Imran Khan, Pakistan lifted its first and only World Cup trophy.
