JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman says Pakistan would be turned into a welfare state
Lahore (Breaking News / Sunday, March 31, 2013) – Today a huge rally held in the city of Lahore. Addressing a public gathering at Minar e Pakistan Ground on Sunday, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that colonial masters have left the class system as a legacy in the country.
This election is a proper opportunity to save the poor out of cruel clutches of mental and political slavery. The worker should be given his right in order to make the country a welfare state.
“If the JUI is given an opportunity to come to power, no feudal lord would be able to banish the tenant from his land by force”, said JUI chief.
He said that everybody has the right of honour without which the man can’t be determined as ‘honorable of all creatures’. We want to liberate the masses from this oppression and exploitation.
Addressing Islam Zindabad Conference, Mualana Fazlur Rehman said that country has been pushed on the verge of decay and destruction. Class gulf is widening in the country with the passage of time. Current crises faced by the country are real challenges for us. If we want to survive, these issues should be taken serious.
It is worthy of note that JUI activists arranged security measures. At least 5000 party workers rendered their services for maintenance of law and order at the Jalsa Gah.
Police also blocked the main roads with heavy containers as precautionary measures.
Apart from this, more than 1200 security personnel had been deployed at the site of gathering. Mobile services also remained jammed around the ground, causing tremendous problems for area people.
