Private Hajj Quota Increased, Govt Hajj Quota Decreased – Supreme Court Judgement Announced Today on Tuesday, 3rd may 2016
Islamabad (News Update / Breaking News / Tuesday, May 3, 2016) – Today in an important decision of supreme Court, The Govt sponsor Hajj Quota has been decreased from 60% to 50%, While private hajj quota has been increased from 40 percent to 50 percent.
This judgement has been announced by chief justice of Pakistan in a writ petition filled by private hajj operators. Chief Justice Mr. Zaheer Anwar Jamali Announced the Decision.
Now Balloting of Govt Hajj Quota Applicants will be held and will be announced by Ministry if Hajj and Religious Affairs.
Before SC orders the Hajj Quota as per “Hajj Policy 2016” was as under:-
Total No. of Hujjaj = 143368
Private Hajj Quota = 57347
Govt Hajj Quota = 83440
Hardship Quota Scheme = 2581
Now Quota for Private and Govt Hajj Scheme will be 50, 50.
